Further to our newsletter on November 10^th, the ACRS Board met on December 7^th when industry consultancy Think Insight presented their final report with recommendations for the future structure of ACRS.  This covered a number of areas including ACRS scope, goals, funding, customer & industry focus, and governance, management & operations.

The Board accepted the report in principle, and financial modelling and drafting of scheme changes are being developed so that the Board can make the next set of implementation decisions at the its next meeting in February.

We look forward to industry and certificate holder consultations in the first half of 2017, as we move to implement the action plans to ensure a forward-looking ACRS to enable ACRS to face the challenges ahead in a dynamically competitive steel environment.
